Mattress Construction

The GhostBed 3D Matrix is a hybrid mattress, made from 7 layers of foam and individually-wrapped coils. It's designed with breathable materials and construction that allows for optimal airflow and cooling along with a great deal of pressure relief. This construction and combination of materials allows you to sleep comfortably in any position.

Cover: Covering the mattress is GhostBed's Ghost Ice Cooling Cover, which a luxuriously soft phase-change fabric that keeps cool throughout the night.

First Foam Layer: The first support layer of the mattress is made from GhostBed's patented 3D Matrix Polymer. This gel polymer layer features a honeycomb design that actively cools you by absorbing and dissipating heat.

Second Foam Layer: This 2" gel memory foam adds more contour and comfort to the mattress while letting it maintain its strong heat-dissipating qualities.

Third Foam Layer: A layer of patented Ghost Bounce Foam adds some responsiveness and bounciness to the mattress to counter some of the sink created by its foam layers. This keeps you on top of the mattress rather than in it, letting more of your surface area breathe and, therefore, better dissipate heat and sweat.

Fourth Foam Layer: Next comes a layer of soft transition foam that mainly acts as a barrier between the foam parts of the mattress and its coils. This keeps you from feeling the coils and improves the overall durability of the mattress.

  Coils Layer: A thick layer of individually-wrapped coils serves as the main support unit of the mattress, granting enough pressure relief for you to feel supported and comfortable whether you're on your back, front, or side. The coils are individually wrapped to reduce motion transfer and noise. The layer is also reinforced with GhostBed's proprietary Spirited Edge design, which is basically a perimeter of more rigid coils, to improve the mattress' overall edge support.

Fifth Foam Layer: A 1" high-density foam layer that serves as the base of the mattress and supports the layer of coils above it, keeping it from your bed's foundation.

Feel

The 3D Matrix Hybrid has a distinct medium firmness and bouncy feel thanks to its responsive layers of foam and coils. You'll sink enough into the mattress for your shoulder and hips to be comfortable and aligned, even on your side, but not enough to feel like you've thrown yourself into a bean bag. You'll be hugged, but not cradled, as long as you weigh less than 250 lbs. If you weigh more than that, you may want to look for a firmer mattress that will better support your weight, such as the Helix Plus.

Pressure Relief

The GhostBed 3D Matrix Hybrid is built with pressure relief in mind. As mentioned before, you should feel comfortable sleeping on it in any position unless you prefer mattresses with firmness that's more akin to that of concrete. This would be typical for strict stomach and back sleepers, and not combination sleepers which the mattress is more intended for. If you're a combo sleeper, though, this mattress would be great for you, especially if you're average-sized, and particularly if you're looking for a good mattress for back pain.

Motion Isolation

The 3D Matrix Hybrid's motion isolation is top notch. Thanks to its construction, you'll be able to sleep next to a restless partner and not be bothered by them one bit, even if you're a light sleeper. This is definitely a strong suit of this mattress.

Repositioning

While the 3D Matrix mattress won't be winning any awards in this category, it's still safe to say that moving around on top of it is rather effortless. Edge Support

The reinforced edge of the GhostBed 3D Matrix mattress lets you utilize the entire surface area of the mattress without fear of falling off, which is impressive considering its firmness. Heat Retention

Additional Details

GhostBed offers a 10-year accidental mattress protection warranty, that covers anything from stains to punctures, rips, and even burns. This only covers your mattress, not your foundation, and costs up to $299, though GhostBed tends to give this for free with the 3D Matrix.

Shipping & Delivery

GhostBed offers free shipping to the entirety of the contiguous US, and they mattress usually arrives between one to two weeks from date of purchase. They also offer White Glove Delivery for $279.

Once you’ve placed your order, GhostBed will ship your items via their delivery company, and you'll receive an email to confirm your order. Once the delivery team has received all your products from GhostBed, they will contact you to schedule the time for your delivery. If you ordered any other GhostBed products (pillows, sheets, protectors, etc.), those will ship directly to you via FedEx.

If you've opted for white glove delivery, upon the arrival of your GhostBed mattress, the delivery team will unbox and set up your mattress (and foundation, if you bought one). If need be, they'll also remove and dispose of your old mattress along with any packaging materials.

Returns & Warranty

After purchasing the GhostBed 3D Matrix Hybrid mattress, you have up to 101 nights to return the mattress should you decide it's not the right fit for you. You may only issue a return after 30 days of trying it out, which is an industry standard since that's usually how long it takes to properly break in your mattress and adjust to its feel. Do note that you're entitled to one mattress return per household, and that if the mattress is stained, ripped, or otherwise damaged, your return request will be denied.

GhostBed delivers mattresses quickly, but because of this, orders cannot be changed or canceled once placed, so ensure that all the details you fill in with GhostBed are 100% accurate. The GhostBed 3D Matrix comes with a 25 year warranty. GhostBed will repair or replace any 3D Matrix mattress for the original owner should it be defective due to faulty workmanship or structural defects. The warranty covers any visible and lasting indentation greater than one inch that didn't occur due to sag in the mattress' foundation, along with any physical flaw in the mattress that causes the latex to split or crack, despite normal usage and proper handling.

During the first 10 years of the mattress' life, GhostBed will provide a replacement mattress at the cost of only shipping and handling fees. After the 11th year and until the 25th year, the warranty only covers 50% of the total cost. In order to be eligible for the warranties there are certain conditions that must be met.
