Mattress Construction

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss is 15'' thick. It consists of a latex-based pillow top attached to two layers of wool and latex and a coil system. What distinguishes the two firmness models from one another is the density of the latex in the pillow top and in the mattress. In the medium firmness model, the latex is of 24-29 ILD medium density while in the medium-firm model it has higher density of 30-37 ILD.

Layer 1: 1'' of breathable and cushy organic British wool, which acts as a natural fire barrier and adds softness to the mattress.

Layer 2: 2" of denser 29/37 ILD Dunlop Latex curbing sinkage and separating the coils below from the layers above.

Layer 3: 9'' individually encased coils. The coils are divided into 5-zone support areas elevating sleepers' body delivering improved support.

Feel

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss' soft and breathable cotton cover and the wool layer enable free flow of air and moisture wicking keeping the surface of the mattress cool and dry even after hours of sleep. The wool also softens the mattress enhancing comfort.

The medium firmness model with its medium density latex is cushier and bouncier than the medium-firm model. The former enables moderate sinkage giving a cozier feel.

The medium-firm model is much stiffer. The pillow top provides some cushioning, but the hardened latex in the second layer and the coils reduce sinkage making sure sleepers remain highly stable on the mattress.

Pressure Relief

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss is too rigid for lightweight side sleepers. Side sleepers need a softer and more contouring mattress to alleviate pressure in their hips and shoulders.

Average and heavyweight side sleepers, in contrast, will like the Signature Bliss' medium firmness model. The supple latex in its pillow top will provide pressure reliving bounce for their entire body while the denser latex in the second layer and the coils below will elevate their hips and shoulders keeping their spine in its natural position.

Light and average weight back sleepers will get along well the mattress' medium firmness model. The pillow top will cushion their back mitigating pressure. The latex in the second layer will avert excess sinkage. The zone support delivered by the coils will target their lumbar and thoracic spine enabling them to maintain a healthy position throughout the night.

Heavyweight back sleepers will require a mattress robust enough to be able to cope with their more massive body. The Signature Bliss' medium-firm model will generate enough lift to prevent them from plunging too deeply into the mattress making them feel comfortable.

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is not the PlushBeds Signature's Bliss specialty. Its layers of bouncy latex and hardened latex aren't designed to absorb the kinetic energy generated by sleepers' movements. The coils — although being individually encased, which reduces their capacity for motion transfer — still vibrate when compressed and may disturb light sleepers.

It should be noted that the medium firmness model does a better job isolating motion than the medium-firm one thanks to the softer latex it has in its pillow top. Most sleepers will get along fine with it, but if your partner is a restless sleeper, you may need to look for a mattress other than the Signature Bliss in order to have quiet nights. 

Repositioning

What the PlushBeds Signature Bliss lacks in motion Isolation, it more than makes up for in ease of movement. The lift generated by its 9'' coils and by the elastic and hardened latex prevent sleepers from being trapped in bed and enable them to change their positions with minimum effort. 

The medium-firm model is less sinkable than the medium firmness model and so maneuvering on its surface is a bit easier. Yet easy repositioning is a defining characteristic of both models. 

Edge Support

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss has good edge support. Its bouncy latex and coils keep the mattress' exterior stable. Plus-size sleepers may experience some sagging lying close to the edges of the medium firmness model on account of its less dense and, therefore, lass supportive latex. They'll feel more secure upon lying close to the perimeter of the medium-firm model.

Heat Retention

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss is capable of efficiently regulating temperature making it fit people who tend to sleep hot or live in hot and humid places. Its latex layers don't retain much heat compared to the more sinkable and contouring foam. Moreover, the breathable cotton-based cover and the wool in the first layer provide excellent sweat-wicking keeping sleepers' body dry. The coils, on their part, enable free flow of air in and out of the mattress augmenting the cooling effect.

Frame & Foundation

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss is compatible with the majority of the platform beds sold on the market provided that they're adequately supportive. According to the manufacturer, to be adequately supportive, a platform must have at least 4 legs for Twin, Twin XL and a Full mattresses and 5-6 legs for Queen, King and California King mattresses. If you plan to use a slat bed, make certain the slats are no less than 2.5'' wide and no more than 3'' apart. PlushBeds has its own platforms, which are optimal for its mattresses.

The Quiet Balance Bed Frame is a firm 8'' frame made of recycled steel and fiberglass infused resin designed to absorb noise. The Natural Wood Mattress Foundation has a robust structure capable of carrying up to 1,200 pounds. Trial & Warranty

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss comes with a 100-night trial and a break-in period of 30 nights. In other words, you can return the mattress and expect to get a full refund no sooner than 30 nights from the moment it was delivered to you and no later than 100 nights. 

The Signature Bliss is mattress backed by a lifetime warranty. The prorated warranty is non-transferable and it extends to the original buyer only. It covers manufacturing and material flaws including impressions on the surface deeper than 1.5'' and splitting and cracking of the latex provided that the mattress was properly maintained and well handled .

The warranty doesn't cover normal wear-and-tear, changing comfort preferences, mold, odors and/or discoloration caused by exposure to spills or inadequate ventilation and damage caused by burns, tears or improper cleaning and/or storage of the mattress. The warranty may be voided if the mattress is placed on an inadequately supportive frame or foundation based on the guidelines stipulated above.

In case there is a defect covered by the warranty, during the first ten years, PlushBeds will replace or repair the mattress at zero cost for the buyer. Starting from the 10^th year, the buyer will have to pay 50% of the total costs of replacing or repairing the mattress. This rate increases by 3% for each year that follows up to a maximum of 99%.
