Mattress Construction

The PlushBed Botanical Bliss has three layers made of cotton and latex. The 12'' mattress has an additional latex layer. What differentiates between the two firmness models is the density of their organic latex. The medium firmness model contains 24 ILD Talalay latex and 24-29 ILD Dunlop latex while the medium-firm model consists of 36 ILD Talalay latex and 30-37 ILD Dunlop latex. 

Cover: 1'' of soft circular knit organic cotton fabric. The cover can be unzipped allowing buyers to replace the comfort layer and change the mattress' feel.

Comfort Layer: 2'' of elastic Talalay latex in the 9'' and 12'' mattresses. The comfort layer in the 10'' mattress is 3'' thick.

Transition Layer: Only in the 12'' mattress — 3'' of resilient Aprico Dunlop latex.

Support Layer: 6'' of strong and durable 29/37 ILD Aprico Dunlop Latex.

Feel

The way sleepers will experience the PlushBed Botanical Bliss depends on a combination of its firmness level and height. Generally speaking, the medium firmness level enables moderate sinkage and is therefore cushier and bouncier. The firm model is stiffer and more supportive. However, it still remains cushy enough to enable sleepers, mostly the heavier ones, feel comfortable in bed. 

As to height, The 10'' mattress is the most conforming as it has the thickest Talalay latex-based comfort layer. Talalay latex in comparison to Dunlop latex is springier and cushier and is therefore more comfortable to lie on. The 12'' mattress has an additional layer of hardened Aprico Dunlop latex, which makes it more rigid increasing sleepers' sense of stability.

Pressure Relief

Side Sleepers will feel most comfortable on the PlushBed Botanical Bliss' medium firmness model. Its softer Talalay latex is what they need to cushion their hips and shoulder and reduce pressure in these sensitive areas. Lightweight sleepers should opt for the 9'' mattress as it's built for people weighing up to 200 pounds. Average weight sleepers will like the 10'' mattress. It's especially adapted to people weighing 200-250 pounds. In addition, its thicker comfort layer will provide improved pressure relieving bounce. The 6'' 29 ILD Dunlop latex layer will deliver enough support to keep their spine properly aligned.

Average weight back sleepers need a more solid mattress. The medium-firm 10'' mattress will be ideal for them. The thicker 3'' 36 ILD Talalay latex in the comfort layer will curb sinkage while generating pressure relieving bounce. The support layer will further reduce sinkage keeping them 'on' the mattress instead of 'in' it.

Back sleepers who weigh more than 250 pounds will tend to prefer the medium-firm thicker 12'' mattress. The extra transition layer of 3'' resilient Dunlop latex is exactly what is needed to cope with their massive body more effectively averting excess sagging and enabling them to maintain a healthy sleeping position.

The Botanical Bliss' 9'' and 10'' medium firmness models will work well for stomach sleepers weighing less than 150 pounds. Those who need extra cushioning will like the 10'' mattress thanks to its thicker comfort layer. Yet both the 9'' and 10'' mattresses will be able to pad their abdomen preventing the accumulation of pressure. The 6'' 29 ILD Dunlop latex in the support layer will effectively reduce sagging keeping their spine close to its natural alignment.

Average and heavyweight stomach sleepers will need the more robust medium-firm model. The ones weighing less than 250 pounds will feel most comfortable on the cushier 10'' mattress with its thicker comfort layer. XL sleepers should opt for the 12'' mattress. The extra 3'' transition layer and the 6'' support layer with its hardened 37 ILD latex will generate the necessary lift to prevent their waist and hips from plunging too deeply into the mattress.

Motion Isolation

Broadly speaking, both firmness models of the PlushBed Botanical Bliss don't excel at isolating sleepers' movements as they're based on latex, which is bouncy rather than contouring and, therefore, tends to transfer motion. The medium firmness model is cushier than the medium-firm model and, so, can better absorb kinetic energy.

As to height, the 10'' mattress isolates motion better than the 9'' and 12'' mattresses since it has the thickest Talalay latex-based comfort layer. The 12'' mattress, on the other hand, does worst of all others due to its additional transition layers of 3'' resilient Dunlop Latex, which significantly reduces its ability to trap and isolate motion.

Repositioning

Sleepers won't have to exert much effort in order to move on the PlushBed Botanical Bliss thanks to the ample bounce its latex layers provide. Being less sinkable, the medium-firm model enables easier repositioning than the cushier medium firmness model. In terms of height, the transition layer of 3'' solid Dunlop latex in the 12'' mattress generate lift and so makes maneuvering on its surface much easier compared to the the 9'' and 10'' mattresses.

Edge Support

The PlushBed Botanical Bliss has good edge support. Its springy and resilient latex layers, especially the 6'' 29/37 ILD Dunlop Latex in the support layer, reduce sagging around the perimeter. The medium-firm model with its denser 36 ILD Talalay latex and 30-37 ILD Dunlop latex is more supportive around the exterior. The 12'' mattress has the most stable edges on account of its extra Dunlop latex transition layer, which further curbs sagging making sleepers who lie away from the center feel highly secure.

Heat Retention

The PlushBed Botanical Bliss is not among the mattresses that dissipate heat effectively like hybrid mattresses based on latex and coils. Yet being mostly based on latex, it has low heat retention. In addition, the its knit organic cotton cover fabric provides excellent sweat-wicking keeping sleepers body dry. Taking all of that into account, we can definitely say that the mattress fit people who tend to sleep hot or who live in hot and humid areas.

Frame & Foundation

The PlushBed Botanical Bliss works well with all types of foundations, frames and adjustable bases as long as they can support its weight. Any platform you'll use must have at least 4 support legs for Twin, Twin XL and a Full mattresses and 5-6 support legs for Queen, King and California King mattresses. If you intend to place your mattress on a slat bed, make sure the slats are at least 2.5'' wide and the gap between them doesn't exceed 3''. The Quiet Balance Bed Frame is a highly supportive 8'' frame made of recycled steel and fiberglass infused resin designed to absorb noise.

The Natural Wood Mattress Foundation is made of spruce wood wrapped in organic cotton fabric. It comes in two profiles of 5.5'' and 7.5''. The foundation has a solid structure which can support up to 1,200 pounds of weight.

As to adjustable bases, customers can opt for four model: the Remote Control Bed-Elevate, the Recliner Bed-Smart Elevation, the Adjustable Bed-Relax and the Split Adjustable Bed-Ultra Ergonomic.

Shipping & Delivery

The PlushBed Botanical Bliss will arrive at your doorstep with its layers sealed in plastic, rolled and compress in a box in 14-18 business days. You can either set up the mattress by yourself or opt for white glove delivery at a price of up to $249. At a price of up to $349, your old mattress will also be removed and sent to recycling.

Shipping anywhere inside the lower 48 states is free of charge. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii entails an additional fee. You'll have to turn to Customer Support and request a quote based on your exact address.

Trial & Warranty

The PlushBed Botanical Bliss comes with a 100-night trial and a break-in period of 30 nights. That is to say, you can return the mattress and get a full refund 30 nights after it'd been delivered to you and no later than 100 nights. During trial, you can replace the comfort layer for free. This option will enable you to change the mattress' feel without returning the entire mattress. 

The Botanical Bliss is backed by a prorated lifetime warranty. The warranty applies to the original buyer only and it covers manufacturing and material defects including indentations on the surface deeper than 1.5'' and splitting and cracking of the latex despite normal usage and proper handling of the mattress.

The warranty doesn't cover the following:

• normal wear-and-tear
• changing comfort preferences
• mold, odors and/or discoloration caused by exposure to spills or inadequate ventilation
• damage caused by burns, tears or improper cleaning and/or storage of the mattress

The warranty may be annulled if the mattress is put on an insufficiently supportive frame or foundation (see above).

In case a defect covered by the warranty is spotted during the first ten years, PlushBeds will replace or repair the mattress at its expense. From the 10^th year onwards, the customer will have to pay 50% of the total costs of replacing or repairing the mattress. This charge will increase by 3% increments for each subsequent year to a maximum of 99%.
