Mattress Construction

The Flex mattress is made of a combination of non-allergenic gel memory foam and individually pocketed steel coils in a design that maximizes comfort and support in all sleeping positions.

Layer 1: Plush and soft quilted cover that's cool to the touch.

Layer 2: Breathable fiber layer that's woven into the cover.

Layers 3-4: Two 1" layers of gel memory foam with contouring properties for better spinal alignment.

Layer 5: A 1" soft transition foam that's exclusive to GhostBed. Has the durability and responsiveness of latex and the soft, contouring properties of memory foam. Also servers as a transition layer to protect the memory foam layers from the coils underneath it.

Layer 6: A 8.5" layer of individually wrapped reinforced steel coils. Has a reinforced perimeter for better edge support.

Layer 7: A 1" high-density support foam layer, which serves as the base of the mattress.

Feel

The Flex mattress is neither soft nor firm, and is quite responsive without being too bouncy. The mattress has a shallow cushioning depth with a slight feel of memory foam, though it doesn't fully conform to your body in the way that a memory foam mattress does.

Pressure Relief

The pressure point relief of the Flex mattress is quite exceptional. The mattress keeps good spinal alignment in every sleeping position, and fully supports all weights below 250 lbs. Though, if you weigh more than that, or close to that and tend to sleep on your stomach, then you may need a firmer mattress that can fully support your size.

Motion Isolation

While this is perhaps the biggest weakness of the mattress, the GhostBed Flex still outperforms most mattresses in this regard, as you'd expect from a hybrid mattress with individually wrapped coils. It just won't win any awards for its motion isolation, though that won't be a problem for you unless you or your partner are incredibly light sleepers.

Edge Support

The edge support of the Flex is fantastic due to its reinforced steel coil perimeter. No matter where you sleep on the mattress, you'll be fully supported with no fear of falling off of it.

Heat Retention

While the Flex doesn't actively cool you like the GhostBed Luxe does, it is still cool to the touch thanks to its breathable top fabric layer, and efficiently wicks away body heat thanks to its gel-infused foams and coil layer.

The GhostBed Flex follows industry standards, and so can fit on your existing foundation (and with your existing fitted sheets). However, if you lack a suitable foundation for the mattress, you can purchase one along with your mattress.

You have the option for an All-in-One solution — an all-metal bed frame and box spring replacement in one that's covered with soft grey fabric for a high-end look. Shipping & Delivery

GhostBed ships their products all over the United States, for free. The mattress usually arrives within less than a week of being purchased.

GhostBed offers White Glove Delivery. Once you’ve placed your order, they will ship your items via their delivery company, and you'll receive an email from the delivery team to confirm your order. Once the delivery team has received all your products from GhostBed, they will contact you again to schedule the best day and time for your delivery. If you ordered any other GhostBed products (pillows, sheets, protectors, etc.), those will ship directly to you via FedEx.

Upon arrival, the delivery team will unbox and set up your GhostBed mattress (and foundation, if you bought one) and, if need be, remove and dispose of your old mattress along with any packaging materials

Returns & Warranty

After purchasing the GhostBed Flex, you have a 101 nights to return the mattress. You may only issue a return after 30 days of trying out the mattress. This is an industry standard, and a prerequisite for the return, because it is recommended to properly break in your mattress in to try it out, and to let your body slowly adjust to its feel.

GhostBed delivers mattresses incredibly quickly, but because of this, orders cannot be changed or canceled once placed. You ought to ensure that all the details you fill in with GhostBed are 100% accurate. If you ordered your GhostBed mattress through a third party vendor, then the return conditions are that of the third party vendor and not GhostBed.

GhostBed mattresses come with a 25 year warranty managed by Nature's Sleep, a company that has issued warranties in the mattress industry for decades. During the first 10 years of the mattress' life, GhostBed will provide a replacement mattress at the cost of only shipping and handling fees. In order to be eligible for the warranties there are certain conditions that must be met. For example, misuse and abuse void the warranty altogether, as does using the mattress without a suitable foundation.

GhostBed also offers an extended warranty on its products, but I consider it to be somewhat unnecessary due to how generous its standard warranty is.
