The Luxuary Organic Crib mattress has a dual structure. It has a firm infant side meant to provide infants with the safety and ergonomic support they need in the first months of life. It also has a softer plush toddler side combining comfort and support.

The layers of each side are topped by a cover fabric. They're attached to a transition and coil-based support layers underneath.

Organic Cotton Protector (optional): A plush moisture-resistant washable cotton pad attached to the mattress with 4 elastic corner straps. It functions as a protective layer against spills and stains. It's price is $65. 

Cover: Resilient cotton fabric infused with wool. The cotton and wool are highly breathable aiding in cooling the mattress. The wool functions as a natural flame retardant.

Transition Layer: Organic hemp pad infused with 1'' of hyper-elastic Dunlop latex adding bounciness and durability to the mattress. This layer is attached to the support layer below with six internal hand-tufts.

Support layer: 170 steel coils providing the mattress with ample support and buoyancy. The coils are wrapped in cotton and are hand-stitched to a coco-fiber base creating a strong anchor which prevents movement and shifting. Strips of wool are inserted into the coils to reduce noise.

The breathable cotton and wool-based cover fabric keeps the surface of the Luxuary Organic Crib mattress dry and cool to the touch.

The infant side is much firmer. The tightly quilted cotton and coconut husk fiber minimize sinking and increase sleepers' stability. The hemp pad and latex in the transition layer and the coils below further reduce sinking by providing bounciness, which keeps the baby 'on' the mattress instead of 'in' the mattress.

Returns & warranty

The Luxuary Organic Crib mattress comes with a 100-night trial and a break in period of 30 nights. In other words, you can return it and expect to get a full refund after your child slept on it for at least 30 nights and no later than 100 nights.

The mattress is backed by a 25-year partially prorated warranty. In the course of the first 10 years, Avocado will repair or replace it at no charge. From the 10^th year onwards, the customer will be asked to pay 50% of the repairing costs in addition to 5% for every additional year to a maximum 95% in the 20^th year.

The warranty is non-transferable. That is to say, it stays only with the original buyer. It covers indentations on the surface of the mattress which are deeper than 1.5'', deterioration of the latex including splits and cracks, stitching unraveling and other manufacturing defects and size variation greater than 2''.

The warranty doesn't cover natural wear-and-tear, stains,spills and burning marks as well as mold, odors and discoloration resulting from maltreatment of the mattress, insufficient ventilation and excessive wetness and humidity. The warranty becomes annulled if the mattress is placed on an unsuitable foundation or frame.
