Mattress Construction

The Allswell Luxe Hybrid is 12'' thick. It consists of three layers of different types of foam. Under these layers, there is a coil system which functions as the mattress' support layer.

Cover: Soft and breathable Polyester and spandex fabric quilted with 1'' gel-infused memory foam providing pressure point relief. The gel reduces heat retention.

Comfort Layer: 2'' of copper infused memory foam, which contours the body mitigating pressure. The copper assists in dissipating excess heat.

Transition Layer: 1'' of high Density poly foam curbing sinkage and separating the upper foam layers from the coils below.

Support Layer: 8'' individually encased steel coils which generate lift keeping sleepers stable on the mattress. The coils are reinforced around the perimeter strengthening the mattress' edges.

Feel

The Allswell Luxe Hybrid's breathable polyester fabric keeps the surface of the mattress cool and dry even after prolonged sleep.

The 1'' memory foam in the cover and the 2'' memory foam in the comfort layer wrap the body giving a pleasant sinking sensation enhancing sleepers' comfort. The 1'' high density poly foam in the transition layer counters this sinkage making sure sleepers aren't swallowed by the mattress. The coil system below supplements this effect by delivering supportive bounce increasing sleepers' stability. All in all, the Luxe Hybrid gives a medium-firm feel. 

Pressure Relief

The Allswell Luxe Hybrid may be too rigid and not contouring enough for lightweight side sleepers. They'll experience mounting pressure in their hips and shoulders after an hour or two of lying on the mattress.

Average and heavyweight side sleepers, on the contrary, will feel comfortable on the Luxe Hybrid. Their heavier weight will enable them to sink into the mattress' memory foam comfort layer and get the pressure relief they need. Some plus-size stomach sleepers will find the Luxe Hybrid sufficiently contouring and supportive. But there may be others, especially those whose weight is close to or higher than 300 pounds, who will need a more solid mattress capable of better supporting their midsection.

Motion Isolation

The Allswell Luxe Hybrid has average capacity for motion isolation. Its 1'' memory foam in the cover and the 2'' memory foam in the comfort layer absorb some of the energy sleepers' movements generate. The individually encased coils have lower tendency for transferring motion compared to traditional spring systems.

Yet the coils still generate quite a lot of vibrations. Moreover, the hardened poly foam in the transition layer is responsive to movements making them noticeable especially by light sleepers and/or by sleepers whose partners tend to toss and turn frequently during the night.

The high density poly foam in the transition layer and the coil system below, which is reinforced around its perimeter, render the mattress' exterior highly stable despite the sagging caused by the soft memory foam in the cover and in the comfort layer. Sleepers can, therefore, lie away from the center without being afraid of falling off bed. Their sleep surface becomes potentially larger.

Heat Retention

The mattress also has low volatile organic compound emissions to make sure sleepers breathe clean indoor air.

Shipping & Delivery

The Allswell Luxe Hybrid will be delivered to you no later than 10 business days from the moment you've issued your order. You may opt for an expedited 2-day shipment for an additional charge of $75. The mattress will reach your doorstep rolled, wrapped in two layers of plastic and compressed in a box. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Allswell has suspended its white glove delivery service, so you'll need to set up the mattress by yourself.

The Luxe Hybrid is shipped to any destination located in the contiguous USA for free. Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska entails an additional fee of $50. There is no expedited shipment to these two states.

Returns & Warranty

The Allswell Luxe Hybrid comes with a 100-night trial. That is, you can return the mattress and expect to get a full refund no later than 100 nights from the moment it was delivered to you. The manufacturer recommends giving the mattress three weeks before deciding to return it. This is the minimum time the body will require to get used to it.

The Luxe Hybrid is backed by a 10-year limited warranty. The warranty extends to the original buyer only. It covers defects in workmanship and materials including impressions on the surface greater than 1.5'' and deterioration of the foam resulting in splits and cracks which weren't caused by improper use of the mattress.

The warranty doesn't cover the following:

• accidental damage, for example burning marks, stains and spills.
• environmental damage caused by insects, rodents moisture saturation and weather and sun exposure.
• normal increase of softness in the foam, which hasn't reduced the mattress' pressure relief properties.

The warranty will be voided if the mattress is put on an improper or inadequately supportive foundation, if the mattress is abused or neglected and if the law tag is removed. 

Conclusion

There is no rule that says that a good mattress must be expensive. The Allswell Luxe Hybrid is an excellent example of that.
